The Pacuare River
The Pacuare River in Costa Rica is called by the National Geographic "one of the most beautiful rivers in the world. " The river travels without restriction at its source high in the pristine mountains of Talamanca 108 kms to the Caribbean.

The Pacuare River is the last major waterway in Costa Rica not to dams, no major destruction to the environment. Considered essential a tropical river and along its course are several densely vegetated gorges, home to jaguars, ocelots, monkeys, sloths and an incredible variety of birds.

The Pacuare is the only river in Costa Rica, which contains these features, including the virgin forest, while also being quite accessible.

Also within these gorges is one of the best whitewater in all of Central America. The enjoyment of the rafters of clean, fun and fast the magnificent scenery of  
the Pacuare River offers.
